In 1987, the Horton Street 50+ Centre was opened for 60 members. The Centre runs programs during the day time when the children are in school, giving older adults an affordable place for recreational and social programs. The Centre's extended family has grown to include over 1,200 members.

In 2023, the name of the Centre was revised to Horton Street 50+ Centre. We are excited to welcome new members 50+ years young!

Take A Tour

Join us for an in-person tour, every Monday at 10:00 a.m. (except on P.A. Days and holidays). No registration required. Please meet in the Aquaplex lobby.

We offer

• Aquatics programs
• Fitness programs
• Recreational activities
• Special events and luncheons - Guest Speakers are available periodically.
• Day trips - Join us at The Grand Theatre!

Our members have full access to our transit services.

Memberships and Visitors' Fee

Memberships: $115* to $250 per person, per year (valid from date of purchase)

Visitor Fee: $7.00 per person, per visit (some programs offered have an additional fee)

Parking Pass

$4.00 per month
Members who drive and wish to use our parking lot can purchase a parking pass for a month or buy a yearly pass in January for $40 for the year.
