Mental Wellness Support - Call and/or Text
For anyone who needs it, here are some support lines you can connect with at any time:
- Call or text Naseeha - Mental Health Youth Line at 1-866-627-3342 (available 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., every day including weekends)
- Muslim women can call NISA Helpline - 1-866-315 NISA (1-866-315-6472) (available 12 hours per day, 7 days per week.)
- Call The Support Line - CMHA Elgin-Middlesex * : 519-601-8055 or toll-free 1-844-360-8055.
- Kids Help Phone - text TALK to 686868, call them at 1-800-668-6868, chat with them online at www.KidsHelpPhone.ca (Adults can also text at WELLNESS to 741741)
- Kids Help Phone is now offering 24/7 support over the phone in Arabic.1-800-668-6868, press 3 to speak through an Arabic interpreter.
- Crisis Text Line powered by Kids Help Phone (Must be signed into Facebook to use this Messenger tool)
- Atlohsa Family Healing Services - Call 1-800-605-7477 (24/7 crisis support)

NCCM Recommendations: National Summit on Islamophobia
July 19, 2021 - In case you missed it, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) has released 61 recommendations, to help ensure that the National Summit on Islamophobia that is set to take place on July 22, 2021 will be focused on action.

Naseeha
Naseeha is a Mental Health Hotline, and so much more.
7 days a week they answer calls from around the world from Muslim and non-muslims. Naseeha Mental Health has been a great bridge for individuals who are going through life’s challenges. Where hope is lost, Naseeha is found. They provide a safe zone for youths and individuals to talk and get the help they need. They provide workshops to youth across North America, web therapy sessions, and offer texting mental health support 7 days a week.

Thames Valley District School Board
The Thames Valley District School Board has school mental health professionals available to help. If you would like more information about what is available, please contact your school principal about available mental health services through your school. Supporting your child after a traumatic event can be challenging. You are not alone, there is support for you, your child and your family.
