National Volunteer Week: Board Member Spotlight

By Shelby Weaver

National Volunteer Week is all about recognizing the incredible work that our dedicated volunteers do year-round. This year’s celebration takes place from April 24th-30th.

This National Volunteer Week, we would like to recognize our outstanding Club Board members and Boys and Girls Club of London Foundation Board members for being advocates for the Club and providing a solid foundation of support and encouragement that enables young people to discover, develop and achieve great futures!

Q. What inspired you to become a board member?

A. I wanted to be a part of the management of the Club, particularly with how it affected the Senior Members.

Q. If you could give any advice to a Child or Youth Member of the Club, what would it be?

A. The Club offers you wonderful opportunities to get ahead with your plans for the future and, at the same time, enjoy the many social activities. My advice would be to take full advantage of everything offered to you and have fun.
