Our fitness room is equipped with:
Our Fitness Room Coordinator, Jennifer, a background in Kinesiology and Health Science and has been facilitating exercise programs for older adults for the past 15 years. She will design a workout regime according to your fitness level.
September to June: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. except on P.A. days and holidays
Fitness Room & pool(s) will be open on a modified scheduled on P.A. days, holidays, March Break and the summer.
Modified Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Go to page 13 in the HS 50+ Centre brochure here to see the dates for upcoming closures and P.A. days).
Members are required to clean each piece of equipment after every use.
Please note: Members must abide by the physical distancing guidelines at all times in the Fitness Room. Under current provincial guidelines, masks are not mandated to be worn while exercising but the HSSC encourages all members to wear their masks while working out in the Fitness Room.
Some programs require registration. You can register online via RecDesk or call 519-434-9114 during business hours to register over the phone.
